WHAT IS THE HSHOF?
The Hamilton Soccer Hall of Fame (HSHOF) was established in the fall of 2010 with the first class inducted in the spring of 2012. The Hamilton Soccer HOF is a NOT FOR PROFIT registered incorporation in the Province of Ontario. Affiliates, with representation on the Board of Directors, represent all levels of soccer in the Hamilton community. The purposes of the organization, as stated in the bylaws is to promote and support the game of soccer in the City of Hamilton; to recognize and honour those persons who have made significant contributions to the game of soccer in the City of Hamilton; to solicit, receive and expend funds for the accomplishment of the above purposes; and to pursue any other purposes which the Board may deem appropriate.
The Hamilton Soccer Hall of Fame is administered by a Board of Directors of six members. Included on the Board of Directors are John Gibson, Nick Bontis, Harry Porree, Bill McIlveen, Lydia Vamos and Vince Micieli.
Consideration for nomination includes long-standing contributions and achievements in advancing soccer in Hamilton, and individuals to be considered may be players, coaches, referees and/or administrators. Length of service will be considered, as well as diversity of involvement.
